I am a Fine Art photographer based in Florida. As a visual artist, I try to see and feel the world around me more deeply, and to let my emotions and insights come through in my work. I create ways to bring out the extra mundane character of each subject because I feel that each image should be unique, evocative and heart felt.
I have very eclectic tastes and I like working in most genres. What truly matters for me, is the strong connection I feel for any person, place or thing that makes me want to photograph it. I may be in awe of it, curious about it, nostalgic over it or emotionally challenged by it. It could even be something completely imaginary or abstract. I like to explore new subjects and visually expressive ways of representing them utilizing different in-camera and digital darkroom techniques.
Photography has allowed me to capture moments in time, but it has also made me acutely aware of the passage of time and the constantly changing reality we live in. In my recent work, I have been combining photo realistic images of our brick-built world and fused them together in order to convey the idea of different layers of reality inter weaved in time and space.
